The Paddington team
At Paddington, everything is about trust, joy, and the feeling of coming home. And that starts with the professionals who are there every day to welcome the children with open arms. A close-knit team of familiar faces, so your child can truly build a bond with the people in the group. And you can too.
Childcare where everyone feels at ease
Because as a (new) parent, it can feel quite exciting to entrust your child to someone else. That’s why we think it’s important that you know everyone well, and feel comfortable enough to ask a question or call if something is on your mind. Our childcare professionals are trained, experienced, and truly love what they do. They’re not here just because they have to pay the bills. They work at Paddington because there is nothing they’d rather do than help children grow up in a warm, safe environment.
The experience of our professionals
Some of our professionals have been at Paddington for decades; others brought their experience from childcare organisations elsewhere and consciously chose the small-scale atmosphere of Paddington Hilversum or Laren. On this page, we introduce two of them to you. Even though not everyone is featured here with a photo or story, behind the scenes everyone contributes to the close, Paddington feel.
“Paddington feels like coming home”
“When I came to Paddington as a 16-year-old intern in 2007, I never imagined that 18 years later I would be helping to lead this wonderful team of professionals. I’ve grown up within this organisation and have been given the space to develop myself. Paddington feels like coming home to me and that’s exactly the feeling we want to create for parents and children too: a warm, homely place where a child can grow and develop at their own pace.”
Hetty, Quality & Partnerships Manager at Paddington
“When a child learns something new, I’m just as proud as the parents are”
“Every child brings something new. I love watching them grow and being able to support them along the way. They arrive as a tiny three-month-old who can hardly do anything yet, learn to walk like a little deer on ice for the first time, and leave our group as a toddler with their own little personality. We get to witness all those beautiful moments.
When a child learns something new, I’m just as proud as the parents are. And the fact that they sometimes come back to tell us how things are going at school: I really love that!”
The professionals behind the scenes
Alongside the Childcare professionals in the groups, there are of course many other driving forces who make sure everything runs smoothly. Think of administration, planning, and housekeeping. Thanks to them, the Childcare professionals can fully focus on the children. Together, they form the heart of Paddington.
